Black Box Theater

Black Box Theater

Middle and upper schoolers will be producing black box theatre productions. They will be doing a monologue, duo interpretation, or short skit. Some of the directors are Jamie English and Debbie Noyes. The monologue will be 3 to 5 minutes long. There will be one person for the monologue. The duo interpretation will be with two people and will be 8 to 12 minutes long. They will be communicating a poem, short story or play. They will not be using props. The short skit will be 5 to 7 minutes long. It will most likely be funny.

Michael Coltrane says, “it will be very interesting to see middle and upper school students performing in different skits instead of one play.”

This is the first time Westchester’s drama club is performing the Black Box Theater. Members hope to draw a large crowd at their February 10 performance at 7 pm.
